This business has been a dream of mine for years. Recently I went thru a divorce and felt like I had had everything taken away from me. My kids were gone (reduced to a weekend dad), my house was gone and everything I had worked for seemed, with a stroke of a pen, gone. It wasn't what I wanted but sometimes we don't get to make all the choices in our lives. Sometimes they are made for us. One day, several months later, I woke up surrounded by more empty whiskey bottles than hope. It was at that point that I knew that I needed a change in my life. I could make a choice for me and do the things that I am passionate about. This website and the products you see on it are part of that change. If you choose to buy one of my products you are helping me to realize my dream and I thank you for that.

I had practiced falconry for many years but my ex-wife thought that it was too much and I laid it down for her. During that time I had made perches for folks and sent many across the country both while I was a falconer and after I had released my last bird. People always seem to like my perches and I like making them so I figure I'll make a run at it.

I flew a kestrel last year and with a little luck I hope to get a another goshawk next season. This is truly a passion for me, both falconry and building perches, and I am very excited for what the future holds!

It is with that that I would encourage you to pursue your hopes and dreams. I would encourage you to take the chances and pursue happiness. Happiness won’t be found in a winning lottery ticket but rather in the passions of your heart that you pursue with your hands.

“If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer; but if he spends his whole day as a spectulator, shearing off those woods and making the earth bald before her time, he is esteemed an industrious and enterprising citizen.”
